IMaria (India Eisley) is a young girl facing serious bullying problems, which causes her father (Jason Isaacs) to reprimand her frequently, as she has virtually no friends and lives in isolation from her peers.

IHer submissive mother (Mira Sorvino) doesn't seem to help her situation.

IOne morning, Maria accidentally discovers the remains of an ultrasound scan that she presumes belongs to her and her twin sister, who died at birth.

IFrom that moment on, she begins to communicate through the mirror with the image it reflects, which asks her to make a radical change in her attitude towards her problems.

IThe film seems, at first, to try to avoid the clichés of the horror genre, to which it is erroneously assigned for marketing purposes, as it is in fact a thriller with a remarkably slow narrative pace.

IThe development of the impact sequences, especially some of the deaths, tries not to follow the most common pattern, but in the end remains merely undeveloped intentions.

IThe best: the story, not quite rounded, the performances of India Eusley, Mira Sorvino and Jason Isaacs, the locations, the photography by Pedro Luque and the music by Mario Grigorov.

Corazón Film (the most important independent company in Mexico) presents us with an excellent production that will leave you speechless at all times, causes the right effect on viewers by keeping you wanting to see more with feelings of anguish, happiness, and manages to move many of the villainies of AIRIAM the terrifying protagonist. It should be noted that the ending is highly unexpected and a little confusing.
