This is an Australian science fiction thriller film, directed and written by brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, the film is based on the short story "All You Zombies" by Robert A. Heinlein.

In it, an agent working for a mysterious organisation known as the Temporal Bureau travels through time to catch a notorious criminal named Fizzle Bomber. As the story progresses, unexpected twists and turns are revealed and themes of identity, destiny and temporal paradoxes are explored.

The film offers an intriguing and challenging narrative, keeping the viewer on edge as they try to uncover the mysteries behind every twist and turn.

In what is his last mission, he embarks on a particularly complicated case that will bring him face to face with his own past and uncover shocking secrets.

Ethan Hawke plays the temporary agent, whose name is kept secret, and manages to convey the emotional complexity and determination of his character, carrying the viewer through the twists and turns of the plot in a compelling manner.

Sarah Snook, meanwhile, plays a mysterious key figure in the story, she delivers a captivating and nuanced performance, making her character intriguing and memorable.

The chemistry between Hawke and Snook on screen is palpable, and their dynamic plays an important role in the development of the plot. Both actors demonstrate their ability to immerse themselves in the complex emotional aspects of their characters, which contributes to the overall impact of the film.

It premiered on 8 March 2014 at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin (Texas) and months later in Australia and the rest of the world, earning good reviews from academics and audiences alike.

At the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards (AACTA), Sarah Snook received a well-deserved nomination for Best Actress and at the Saturn Awards, which honour the best in science fiction, fantasy and horror, "Predestination" received a nomination in the Best Science Fiction Film category.

Personally, I thought it was a good movie that can be enjoyed with the family and raises transcendental issues.
