I could be wrong, but I think Get Smart might have made fun of Dragnet more directly than Police Squad. They were on the air at or around the same time, so the mocking would have been more easily understood by the audience at the time.

I remember the Get Smart reruns. That was more a homage to James Bond kind of like Austin Powers.
And the Man from UNCLE—which I've never watched, but I know that classic opening that Get Smart ripped off.
