Imagine you have a fantasy novel embroidered, knitted like lace, with millions of fans. Perhaps the best fantasy book of all time. And then think about how much you can transfer that to the movie. If you were to make a movie for the fans of the book, you would have to print promotional brochures in every cinema foyer for those who haven't read the book, and shoot the neck-breaking movie for 6 hours, which was already 3.5 hours. As a Lord of the Rings fan who lost his temper while reading the book, I still say, The Return Of The King was one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.
