That's right folks. It's been 20 years since the 1st installment of the 2 Part (hopefully 3) Cinematic Zombie Masterpieces 28 Days Later was released.
For those of you who have not watched either 28 Days Later or 28 weeks Later feel free to read this entire article as there are no spoilers other than those already revealed in the Public Trailers. Do not wait 28 Days to start watching these 2 AMAZING movies, watch them now!
To be brief, 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later are Post Pandemic movies, in which a Virus has been transferred from a Monkey to Humans creating Zombies. I do have to note that these Zombies are really scary and extremely aggressive and fast, be prepared!
Not only are these 2 Movies well scripted, well acted and so very relevant in todays world of Pandemics and Lockdowns, the Music, especially the Theme song really ties it all together. The song is haunting and controls your adrenal glands and forces your ass cheeks to bite the couch and hold on while hoping the main characters survive and make it through. Its a song that draws you in, at first sublimanly and then pumps you up as it builds to a fever pitched crescendo of both raw emotion and power. Anger, Rage, Primal Fear, Survival Mode and outright Adrenaline are felt all at once as the song appears throughout key moments of these movies.
I'd like to share the Trailers for each movie below. If you want to be 100% totally surprised then skip watching these as I will be sharing the song further down this post. Be sure to come back and watch the Trailers as they were really done well.

Now, would these 2 movies be good without the amazing music?
Yes
But, the music that accompanies the corresponding scenes make these 2 moveis great. See below for a quick explainer as to how music helps improve movie scenes

2o Years Later and the 28 Days Later Franchise is even better than ever. Will there be a 3rd? I hope so however there is no official announcement. If they decide to go for it, I really hope it's not a money grab and that they make it better than the last 2 combined!
It was also a predesessor to The Walking Dead
On a sidenote, there has been much controversy of the extreme similarity to the opening scenes and scenarios between the 2 Franchises and so much so that Walking Dead has been accused of stealing the idea from 28 Days Later.
Since it's been almost 20 years since I've seen these 2 movies I'm planning on rewatching them soon and hopefull sooner than 28 Days :)
