The Omen movie was released by 20th Century Fox in June 1976. This movie is a supernatural horror film which was directed by Richard Donner and written by David Seltzer, this movie received a lot of mixed reactions and comments from the critics but still the movie was commercially successful. Having been produced by Harvey Bernhard, it also won two Oscar nominations and from there the movie got an extra five sequels after the first part.

Watching this movie was very intense for me because some of the scenes in this movie were really violent and had a kind of suspense that keeps the viewers glued to the screen and waiting anxiously to see what happens next. Watching Evil Dead made me not want to use the bathroom in peace because I was scared of going there alone, but when I watched this particular movie, it gave me that kind of same feeling. Though this time, I fear no more 😎 ,but 😲 who turned off my bathroom light? 😩.

I will go into the synopsis of the movie a little. Robert and his wife Katherine had given birth to a son, but he died. Robert was in pain and the chaplain of the hospital Father Spiletto convinced him to adopt a baby boy whose mother had just died during childbirth, but was that story?

Robert did this by not telling his wife and not letting her know that the baby boy was not her son. They named him Damien. Robert, being an American diplomat, was elected as the ambassador of the United Kingdom after five years. Then strange things began to happen around the family but is it ordinary or supernatural?

Lots of chaos happens to the Robert family, not until a Rottweiler appears in their home and stranger things begin to happen. Strange things began to happen in the cause of Damien. He also resisted violently to go church, animals become uncomfortable when he is around, but a catholic priest warned Robert of his son of who he is and he didn't really believe him. This earned the priest a gruesome death.

After the death of the priest, Robert met a photographer, Keith, who took interest in Damien. Keith verified that Damien is the antichrist who has the support of the Satanist. Also most at the tail end, Robert and Keith found out That Damien. Killed his mother and this is about to happen to him and his family. At the end, Damien succeeded and had a happy smile.

This movie is action packed, it's spooky, an amazing thriller, wonderful horror and a very good supernatural movie. It's Halloween week and I would recommend this movie for Horror lovers and PG ratings is age 13 because of intense and violent scenes, it might not be appropriate for them.

The movie itself is a masterpiece, the characters in the story played their roles well, the plot was an amazing one, the setting was amazing as it portrays two popular cities; Rome and the United Kingdom. The visual is a 4 star and the movie, I will be rating 4 Star.

The music and especially the piece by Jerry Goldsmith enhance the ambience of the film. Ave Satani, is the name of the piece that won the Oscar that year. Excellent performances, and a really scary kid. Good luck with your participation in the contest.

Ah! Yes that true. Forgotten about the music itself. The kid was definitely scary and he played his character well..

Thank you so much for your comment
