When George Clooney and Julia Roberts decided to reunite in the romantic comedy Ticket To Paradise, we knew we were looking at a guaranteed formula for box-office success.

And indeed, the bulletproof chemistry between these stars continues to be a magnet for audiences.

As ex-spouses who hate each other but still love each other, they deliver sarcasm and tenderness in equal measure.

Under the light and entertaining direction of Ol Parker, they follow her rebellious daughter Lily (the endearing Kaitlyn Dever) on her adventure to Bali.

There, they will try to stop the young girl from making the mistake of marrying in haste.

With its beautiful scenery and colourful culture, the island undoubtedly adds to the lighthearted tone of the comedy and the performances are a pleasure.

While the plot doesn't break any new ground in the genre, it does its simple job with good humour, sometimes you just need to enjoy the chemistry of masterful stars, and Ticket to Paradise achieves this with grace.
