Hi friends, I think this is one of my favourite @Cinetv contests because it's all about animals from movies, and I really love movies that include animals, no matter if they are animated or live action, and of course I have a favourite animal which I'll tell you about next.

Balto is definitely my favourite character for many reasons. First of all we must take into account that he is a mixed breed (half husky dog and half wolf) and this has made him live marginalized and separated from society, humans are afraid of him, they distrust him because they consider him "wild", and most of the other dogs don't consider him wild but inferior to them.
Definitivamente Balto es mi personaje favorito por muchísimas razones. En primer lugar debemos tomar en cuenta que él es mestizo (mitad perro husky y mitad lobo) y esto lo ha hecho vivir marginado y apartado de la sociedad, los humanos le temen, desconfían de él por considerarlo "salvaje", y la mayoría de los otros perros no lo consideran salvaje pero sí inferior a ellos.
Many people can relate to Balto. Have you ever felt at some point in your life that you don't fit in anywhere? It's a painful and very sad feeling because you feel alone, but sometimes when you get support and loyalty it comes from those you least expect it. In Balto's case his best friends were Muk and Luk (a pair of polar bears) and also Boris, a goose, i.e. none of them were his own species, neither wolves nor dogs, but they gave him their sincere and unprejudiced friendship.
Muchas personas pueden sentirse identificadas con Balto ¿nunca has sentido en algún punto de tu vida que no encajas en ninguna parte? Es un sentimiento doloroso y muy triste porque te sientes solo, pero a veces cuando recibes apoyo y lealtad viene de quienes menos te lo imaginas. En el caso de Balto sus mejores amigos eran Muk y Luk (un par de osos polares) y también Boris, un ganzo, es decir, ninguno era de su especie, ni eran lobos ni tampoco perros, sin embargo le brindaron su amistad sincera y sin prejuicios.
Another reason why Balto is my favourite character is because he never gave up, despite rejection, despite Steele's (the sled dog) traps, despite prejudice and despite the fact that almost nobody believed in him and his abilities, he always kept going, and even though it wasn't his job, he risked his life to go and guide the other dogs to get to the village safely with the penicillin, the antibiotic they needed to fight diphtheria. He did it for Rosy, for Jenna (the dog he was in love with) for the other sick people and I'm sure he also did it to show everyone that he too could do something for the community regardless of his background or race.
Otra de las razones por las que Balto es mi personaje favorito es porque nunca se rindió, a pesar del rechazo, de las trampas de Steele (el perro de trineo) de los prejuicios y de que casi nadie creía en él y en sus capacidades, él siempre siguió adelante, e incluso, aún y cuando no era su trabajo, él arriesgó su vida para ir a guiar a los otros perros para que llegaran al pueblo a salvo con la penicilina, el antibiótico que necesitaban para combatir la difteria. Lo hizo por Rosy, por Jenna (la perrita de la que él estaba enamorado) por las otras personas enfermas y estoy segura de que también lo hizo para demostrarle a todos que él también podía hacer algo por la comunidad sin importar su origen o raza.
One of the scenes that I found most moving and touching is where he feels dejected and tired by everything that has happened to him, because despite his courage he is defeated and tormented again and again by Steele, who only wants to get to the village with the penicillin to be the hero, then he is met by a white wolf (possibly his mother) who encourages him with her howl, and in this way Balto remembers words he once heard: "A dog cannot make this journey alone, but maybe a wolf can". This scene and this dialogue are wonderful because they show us that precisely his "wild" side, and the reason why he was so rejected, is his strong side and is what helps him to carry on despite any inclemency.
Una de las escenas que me pareció más emotiva y conmovedora es donde él se siente abatido y cansado por todo lo que le ha sucedido, porque a pesar de su coraje es vencido y atormentado una y otra vez por Steele, quien solo quiere llegar al pueblo con la penicilina para ser el héroe, no porque realmente lo crea importante, entonces llega a su encuentro un lobo blanco (posiblemente su madre) quien lo alienta con su aullido, y de esta manera Balto recuerda unas palabras que escuchó alguna vez "Un perro no puede hacer solo este viaje, pero tal vez un lobo sí". Esta escena y este diálogo son maravillosos porque nos demuestran que precisamente su lado "salvaje" y la razón por la cuál fue tan rechazado, es su lado fuerte y es lo que lo ayuda a seguir adelante a pesar de cualquier inclemencia.

The other dogs could not have done it on their own because they were just dogs, but Balto was special, and it was his wolf side that gave him the strength and courage to carry on, and that is how he was finally able to gain the respect of both the human and animal community.
Los otros perros no habrían podido hacerlo solos porque solo eran perros, pero Balto era especial, y fue su parte loba la que le proporcionó la fuerza y el coraje necesarios para continuar, y fue así como finalmente pudo ganarse el respeto de la comunidad tanto humana como animal.
Balto is a great example for all of us, we should never judge anyone by where they come from, their race or anything that makes them different from the rest, because what we think may be a weakness or a flaw, could turn out to be their greatest quality and strength.
Balto es un gran ejemplo para todos nosotros, jamás debemos juzgar a nadie por su lugar de procedencia, su raza o cualquier cosa que lo haga diferente al resto, porque lo que creemos que puede ser una debilidad o un defecto, podría resultar ser la mayor cualidad y fortaleza de él o ella.
This cute dog stole my heart from the moment I saw him, not only because I think he is physically beautiful, but also because he is a great example of bravery, integrity, courage and nobility. As I said before, he didn't care about the community's previous rejection, nor their prejudices, he was simply there to help them when they needed it most, and moreover, deep inside he was sure that he could do it, and if he didn't, he didn't mind dying in the attempt. His determination and nobility are enviable.
Este simpático perro se robó mi corazón desde que lo vi, no solo porque físicamente me parece precioso, sino porque es un gran ejemplo de valentía, entereza, coraje y nobleza. Como dije anteriormente, a él no le importó el rechazo anterior de la comunidad, ni sus prejuicios, simplemente estuvo ahí para ayudarlos cuando ellos más lo necesitaban, y además, muy en su interior estaba seguro de que podía lograrlo, y si no lo hacía no le importaba morir en el intento. Su determinación y nobleza son envidiables.
Most impressive of all is the knowledge that "Balto" really existed and that today he is still much admired for his work in bringing the medicine that everyone needed, even though his real name was "Togo". His body is now embalmed and displayed in a museum.
Lo más impresionante de todo es saber que "Balto" realmente existió y que actualmente sigue siendo muy admirado por su labor al haber llevado la medicina que todos necesitaban, aunque su nombre real era "Togo". Actualmente su cuerpo está embalsamado y exhibido en un museo.

jaja no te preocupes claro que puedes subir la misma película porque quizá tu enfoque es diferente y te guste el personaje por diferentes razones. De verdad es un perrito hermoso que se robó mi corazón desde que lo vi por primera vez.
