Secrets of The Neanderthals is a Netflix documentary recently released in May 2024, it is only an episode of about an hour that allows us to see through a window into the past, there are many aspects that I value this product and that I will capture as the post progresses, as a child I saw several documentaries, few of them dealt with evolution but where if I have seen more about the presence of Neanderthals is in series and one or another movie with a focus on comedy because it took advantage of their wild and less rational condition than ours to make us laugh.

Secrets of The Neanderthals es un documental de Netflix recién estrenada en Mayo del 2024, es solamente un episodio de aproximadamente una hora que nos permite ver a través de una ventana el pasado, son muchos los aspectos que valoro de este producto y que plasmare a medida que avance el post, de pequeño vi variados documentales, pocos de ellos trataban sobre la evolución pero donde si he visto mas sobre la presencia de Neandertales es en series y una que otra película con enfoque a comedia porque se aprovechaba de su condición salvaje y menos racional a la de nosotros para hacer reír.

Muy probablemente ese mismo concepto cómico y que cabe resaltar esta errado totalmente es lo que hayas visto de ellos lo cual ha deformado la visión sobre los neandertales en la actualidad, por eso recomiendo este documental porque si eres de esos espectadores que como yo queremos saber del pasado, sobre estos seres que podemos considerar personajes en el documental los cuales también fueron humanos, el enfoque académico de estudiosos universitarios, investigadores y antropólogos es la mejor forma de adquirir conocimiento sobre ellos.
Se pueden considerar salvajes, es una interrogante que queda en el aire porque que se puede entender de este término, en la actualidad veo muchos y muchas salvajes en el mundo, es verdad que la inteligencia es el mayor fuerte de nuestra especie pero vaya que hay muchos individuos que se destacan por carecer de esto o deformarlo, al menos es lo que veo de la farándula y otros elementos que dejan mucho que desear.
independientemente de lo anterior, podemos iniciar con la interrogante sobre que piensas de los Neandertales, ese es el enigma verdadero porque tienen mucho de nosotros, ellos son nuestros primos que en algún momento caminaron junto a nosotros en este planeta hace decenas y centenares de miles de años atrás.

El documental plantea un enfoque que considero sentimental, me ha agradado esa vista porque muchos de los espectadores pienso que ni siquiera saben que estos seres caminaron sobre la tierra, no son fantasía producto de las series de televisión, no son solamente primitivos y salvajes, esos son los muros a romper y con esto en mente planteare esta reseña destacando los aspectos que mas pueden llegar al espectador, precaución porque puede contener spoilers, si nunca haz escuchado sobre ellos, te recomiendo este documental.
- Sentimientos por Los Muertos:
El documental es un estudio de esqueletos, hay cuevas famosas que contienen restos de estos seres, al estudiarlas la mayor curiosidad es si ellos enterraban a sus seres queridos, es decir, les rendían homenaje, les lloraban, sentían el dolor emocional por su partida. Esto es una interrogante que sigue sobre la mesa pero muy probablemente si lo hacían, y con esto se demostraría que los sentimientos no son exclusivos de los seres humanos ya que otros seres humanos llegaron a entender el concepto muerte y el sufrimiento emocional que genera en aquellos que siguen con vida al preparar todo un lugar para el descanso eterno de aquel al que se le tenia tanta estima.
No es solo lo anterior, esqueletos contienen en sus huesos cicatrices de heridas las cuales solas se considera difícil de tratar, es decir, entre ellos se ayudaban, había la preocupación por el compañero, por su supervivencia e inclusive le trataban, cuidaban y alimentaban mientras se recuperaba de sus herida, este planteamiento esta sobre la mesa, no eran solamente meros salvajes hombres de las cavernas, eso no es así, la prueba esta en que uno de los esqueletos muestra una herida que solo no fuera podido tratar pero el espécimen sobrevivió y duro muchos años mas.

Si algo caracteriza a la ciencia es que se equivoca bastante, es el ensayo y error lo que nos permite llegar a las respuestas correctas luego de muchas suposiciones, eso es lo mas potente y que mas valore del documental, solo tienes huesos, no puedes analizar mucho de ello, el como vivían y se relacionaban entre sí los Neandertales son cosas que al ver el esqueleto puedes hacer suposiciones, me maravillo ver a estos estudiosos que como tu o yo no es que puedan hacer mucho mas que plantear teorías e hipótesis y escucharlos a ellos, no solo un narrador que guía el documental, los escuchas a ellos el tratar de resolver estos rompecabezas.

Esto vaya que me sorprendió gratamente porque me agrado la voz del narrador pero no le reconocí, es en este momento que realizo el post e investigo quien es la voz que acompaña la narrativa del documental que leo es él y es una genialidad, excelente trabajo por parte de Patrick para guiar con su voz de sabiduría este documental de conocimiento.
