Colorchallenge - Thursday Green

It wasn't as warm today but it was ideal walking weather. Rain was forecast later so we decided to do a short 3 mile walk before it arrived.

A few of our regular walks have been blocked off as they're logging in the area. I'm not sure why they're chopping some trees down, but I always think it's quite sad.

There's plenty of hay bales scattered in the fields at the moment. We always made houses with the bales when we were kids. There's no chance now. The farmers usually wrap the dry hay in plastic which protects the feed from the weather, if it's stored outside.

The heather is just coming out. Soon the moors will be covered in a sea of purple.

The last stile of the day and we had a job finding it, never mind getting over it! Everything was so overgrown. There's a dog in there somewhere! Thankfully, we managed to get back to the car before the rain came down.

A very authentic fence, and the whole atmosphere is very nostalgic, like summer, at my grandmother's in the village)

That's a lovely memory!

These sight is sureal 🥺

Warm and satisfying

I think it was Mark Twain who said "If you don't like the weather in New England, just wait a few minutes." This applies to England as well, one minute sunny, next minute raining!

🤣

I really need to travel there
