Thursday Green - Summer has Arrived!

in ColorChallenge3 years ago (edited)

Another lovely day today although not as hot. It looks like they've put blue dye in the pond to get rid of some of the algae. It's supposed to be non-toxic but I think it harms the vegetation that the swans and ducks eat.

They were mowing and attending to the village cricket pitch. I have hay fever so I didn't stick around too long.

My friend is looking after her families pooch - Ms Shih Tzu. She was very chilled and even though she has little legs, she still managed a four mile walk.

Mr Lurcher had a roll in the wood. Thankfully, he didn't roll in anything smelly!

Thank you. I hope the nice weather lasts!

Mr. Lurcher always enjoys the photos and the walks.

Only one walk a day though. He's idle!

I'm sure if there was something smelly he would have found it, dogs are good at finding smelly and messy stuff. The pond pictures look nice, but yes using something that kills plants I would think has an effect on the animals that eat those plants. Probably could have done a better job of removing a lot of algae with a rowboat and a net, then they could compost the algae for fertilizer instead of using chemical fertilizer.

I know they have to maintain the ponds, but we are getting less and less bird life on the ponds. It's a shame.

long may this glorious weather last!!!!!

Amen to that! Although, I was moaning on the hottest day of the year that I was too hot. Ha ha!

7 years in Asia and I burnt my scalp here hahaha

Now that is funny!!

Ouchie. I could make a snow globe with the dandruff now!
