Reflections on the role of the teacher with youth

in Education2 years ago
Dear readers, although we agree that education should start from home, in schools, lyceums and universities teachers play a fundamental role not only in academic training but also in guidance on the aspects that are considered positive and negative in everyday life, of course, not all the work will depend on them as it was said at the beginning parents are also great guides. Teachers have a leadership role in educational institutions, they spend a lot of time with our children, they learn many things from them such as mathematics, reading, writing among other types of learning, so from our point of view there is no other person outside the family that influences our children more than teachers.

Despite the aforementioned, sometimes they reach the youth ignore the guidance of teachers, when this young spontaneity and rebellion emerges in their behavior and do not take seriously the ethical and civic recommendations offered by educators, it seems that it was like a kind of stages through which they go through, where their main slogan is to take the opposite on everything they are told. According to the aforementioned, some educators may get tired, thinking that they preach in vain and as the saying goes, it seems that they are plowing in the sea.

In this same order of ideas, the teacher who has a vocation knows that young people can be rebellious, use different clothes, aggressive or rude vocabulary to mark their territory and demonstrate what their identity is, but generally that type of behavior does not last and that is where parents play a fundamental role in supporting the teacher, because with authority and respect good values of respect, tolerance, solidarity, honesty can be instilled among others and although they are full of tattoos, they paint their hair will always maintain a behavior that is framed in respect for others.

As that young person advances in age, they usually begin to mature and adopt some of the patterns that were instilled by their parents and at school, this means that the effort made by teachers and parents did have a long-term reflection on the young person's behavior. That is why we think that educators cannot give up on the training orientation of our students, no matter how tireless it may seem. That is, the teacher should not get tired of explaining in an ingenious way when transmitting knowledge.

Dear readers, the teacher is a leader of our communities who is in charge of the formation of our children, and no matter how much pressure they feel when they are in charge of a group of young people, they should always move forward with constancy to exert positive influences on them. The teacher, after the parents, is perhaps the most influential figure in the formation of the character of the adult of tomorrow. These lines are part of the empirical experience that we can have as educators and parents who observe how our own children and other young people adopt certain behaviors when they begin to grow up and the importance of their education.

Thank you for staying until the end.

Short and simple. Training a child does not require one method. What works for one may not work for another. I guess the trick is to figure out the best well to get through to them at that rebellious stage.

Hi @beulah4real, you are absolutely right what works for some children suddenly does not work for others, but as parents and teachers we must constantly continue instilling values and guiding them.

So long, have a great week.
