Learn How to install SQL Server 2019 On Windows. We will check out How To Install SQL Server Developer Edition. So I have this developer edition installer that I am going to show you installation for the Windows 10. You can use the same steps and the process for the Windows 11 too. There are two editions that you should be looking at - Express and Developer. Express edition requires you to be installed with some limits on the configuration. And the developer edition is everything that you can find with the Enterprise edition, except you can't use it for commercial purpose.
You can find the installer here. Choose between your choice of the - Express or Developer.
Do you know that you can install the SQL Server 2019 in both Windows, Linux and other supported OS? I have yet to cover the Linux editions installation steps. I may cover that if the response for this content goes well. So far there does not seem to be much demand for this video.
I also noticed the SQL Server 2022 is in motion. And there will be preview edition that may get covered by me in upcoming times. But if things work out right I can consider making use of the final release of the Developer edition. And that may have it's own video or even the video stream.
Two important software setups that you would require in this space. One being the Azure Data Studio that is coming bundled with the SQL Server management Studio these days. So make sure to have both of them installed on Windows.
If you are into Nodejs or Python for the development of the SQL Server based apps then make sure to download the necessary connectors. You may also find the data tools handy which I may cover in upcoming times.
Overall SQL Server is a good choice for those who are planning on learning something that is being used in the Enterprise space. Also there are every small details planned out with GUI and also the feature options that we can think of here. In next few weeks or so I may add more of the SQL Server content if things work out just fine.
