Did you know your browser can automatically tell you if your passwords have been leaked? Let's turn on this free security guard.

We all login the different accounts on browser, so instead of entering username and password, we save both in the browser and allow the browser to insert credentials when logging. This is the ease of use, the browser provide. There is another interesting feature the browsers provide? Both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge have a built in, free feature called Password Monitor.

How to Turn it ON

In Google Chrome:

  1. Click on your profile picture --> Passwords
  2. Click the gear icon for settings
  3. Toggle "Warn you if passwords are exposed in a data breach" ON

In Microsoft Edge:

  1. Go to Settings --> Profiles -> Passwords
  2. Turn On "Show alerts when passwords are found in an online leak"
