WHY???

in Education2 years ago

Have you been a teacher for a long time? Are you set in your ways or just not flexible anymore? Are you bored with your teaching job?

If your answer is yes then you might like to change your ways of teaching and become that refreshing, reflective, enthusiastic and passionate teacher once again. Sometimes us teachers get in a rutt and our descent into the deep pit of teaching despair just keeps spiralling down wards.

Why?

Sometimes it's the inflexible curriculum we are told to deliver, sometimes it's personal issues, but sometimes it's the kids, classroom, school, colleagues or the environment around us.

Whatever the problem is, we need to improve and develop our teaching skills and strategies all the time. Get out of old army-school style drills and get creative, bold, think outside the box!

Teaching is being able to successfully communicate your knowledge on to others.

If you can't successfully do this anymore then you must introduce a change in your life.

I thought I'd share some teaching strategies for you as sometimes we all need a little reminder or guidance to help us get through the day or get back on track.

I have also mentioned these suggestions on my other post found here...

My Tips for You
  1. Start, continue and embrace teaching as part of your life again.

  2. Abandon a project, idea or venture if it's affecting your teaching career, health, sanity and family life.
