My Day - Pick Up My Kid From School

in Education5 days ago

It was an extremely hot day today, with the temperature soaring to 34 degrees Celsius. The sun was blazing, and the heat was almost unbearable. Despite the weather, I made my way to my daughter’s school to pick her up. I was already in a good mood, but what made the moment even more special was hearing that she had just won a competition. I was filled with pride, knowing how hard she had worked for it.

When I saw her, I immediately wanted to capture the memory. I brought out my phone to take some photos with her and the prize she had received. However, she wasn’t in the mood for pictures. She doesn’t really like being in front of the camera and firmly refused, even though I gently insisted. I didn’t want to push her, so I let it go.

On the way home, I rode slowly to get chance to talk to her. I told her how proud I was, not just for winning, but for her effort and determination. I reminded her that hard work always pays off and that learning is a journey.

I also encouraged her to keep up her studies and not lose momentum. I made sure to give her genuine appreciation for her commitment and attitude. Even though we didn’t get a photo, the day was full of pride and connection, which mattered more than anything else.

When we arrived home, her mom greeted our daughter warmly, full of joy and excitement. She, too, wanted to take photos of her holding the present, but our daughter politely refused again. I thought it was perfectly fine. there’s no need to force her to do something she’s not comfortable with. Her happiness mattered more.
