Today I want to talk a bit about a topic that has occupied the last years, discussions come and go, taking the definition of wikipedia of what it is to be a feminist we have to:

Feminism is a heterogeneous group1 of political, cultural, economic and social movements that aims to search for equal rights between men and women, 2 3 4 5 and to eliminate domination and violence by men over women6 as well as a social and political theory.7

They always ask me why I am a feminist, I understand that if we look at it from a religious point of view the vast majority do not totally agree, they say that man is the head of the home, but I have talked with genuine Christians and it is true when men They treat women like fragile vessels, if I see it from the psychological point of view I support feminism first because I am a woman, I am a doctor, and my childhood was traumatic, the life my mother led was very difficult, full of abuse and inequalities.Being a feminist does not mean that we think that women deserve special rights; It means that we know we deserve the same. Defending equality does not mean belittling or punishing men. Feminism does not speak of superiority, nor does it discriminate against the other gender, it simply combats the inequalities that women suffer for the mere fact of being so. It is not a fight to be "more", it is a fight to be the same.

I have met men who are not macho but the environment that surrounds them is, and in the long run they end up doing what the system demands of them. Today there is still great confusion regarding this term. It is common to find phrases in the media in which feminism is taken as a synonym or antonym for machismo, which is wrong in both cases. To understand feminism the main thing is to understand that it does not seek the superiority of women over to man, but equality in social, cultural and economic aspects.

In my career as a doctor I have treated more emotionally ill female patients than those who are sick with diseases such as cancer, or women's own pathologies, violence against women is too much in all senses: physical, verbal, social, and labor market .The United Nations has remembered it again: no country has achieved gender equality and the disparities, exclusion, machismo in its different intensities and aspects continue to give rise to differences as unfair as calling 30% less women for a job interview or that we have to work more to earn the same. More than the economic issue I have always been concerned about the way in which men have mistreated women from their homes to their jobs, it is still a scourge without eradicating.

Everything in excess hurts, it is my position before life, feminism for me is respect and opportunities, never taking away the responsibility of the man to be the head of the home, for example it is very gratifying to have a husband who protects you, It gives you security and at the same time helps you achieve your dreams.I believe in a sovereign and loving God, who unites everyone, women and men, in his mercy and grace with equality and without making distinctions.

Feminists say, "The woman was relegated to second-class status." But God says in Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them. " Two great truths that emerge from this text: (1) Two beings of equal value for being created in the image of God and (2) Two different beings, one male and one female. In other words, men and women are of equal value but according to their design they have different roles, because God designed it to be the complementary work of both that would make His Image reflect perfectly. Therefore, in light of this truth, women should not be considered to have been relegated to a second-class role, even if ungodly men make her feel that way. Her value comes from God and not from men.

We only have to put into action the value of women from a point of perfect balance, we are suitable help.

What do you think virtuous women, I await your comments?

Excess is indeed never good. Too much power given to men or women will lead to unfairness

Women help suitable, balance must be present for a better world.

Hi there @marialara I honestly agree and think that women and men should be treated equal, but there are just things that men MUST do for women(even though they can do it themselves) like change a tire, and carry groceries into the house etc. Just because we can do something doesn't mean we have to. Ha ha....

Should I say I love this article? No,
I am in love with your write up. It was a war when I was trying to explain the concept of feminism to some guys the other day. Most confuse the feminism movement as a way of promoting female superiority.
My experience made me realise that I have to educate more persons on feminism because most folks out there have a wrong misconception about feminism
