Tortuga Morrocoy (Chelonoidis carbonaria) 🐢
Esta especie de tortuga terrestre es nativa de bosques y sabanas. Se distribuye desde Panamá hasta las Guayanas, Paraguay y Brasil. En Colombia y Venezuela se conoce esta especie como la morrocoya sabanera.

Las tortugas se encuentran entre los grupos de reptiles más antiguos y primitivos, existen desde hace más de 100 millones de años...
Los morŕocoy comen mangos, hojas de repollos, entre otros vegetales. Y son animalitos muy dociles.
