Hello everyone, today we will study one of the learning theories, namely constructivist learning theory. For information, this learning theory is different from behavioristic, humanistic learning theory, and also different from cognitive learning theory. To be more clear, please see my explanation below, hopefully it will be useful.

Get to know constructivism learning theory.

Constructivism learning theory is a learning theory that has constructive, in this case, namely building understanding, the ability of students in the learning process. This understanding is in line with what was conveyed in the context of the philosophy of education, namely constructivism is an effort to build a modern cultured life order.

Because of the constructive nature of this constructivist learning theory, it is expected that students will be more creative and active in improving their intelligence. Some experts argue that this learning theory is one way to produce students who can understand what they have learned,

The understanding process is carried out by integrating learning theory, and practicing it in real life. So it can be useful in the social order.

The purpose of constructivism learning theory

In constructivism learning theory, intelligence comes from several processes, starting from organizing, adaptation. The two things are the process of organizing children to be able to integrate the learning process into a related system.

Meanwhile, adaptation is meant as an innate tendency of students to be able to interact with their environment. This interaction will be useful in the mental growth of children perfectly.

More specifically, the purpose of applying constructivism theory can be summarized in the following points:

To assist students in understanding the content of the learning material. improve students' understanding of a concept comprehensively. encourage students to be active thinkers. hone students' ability to always ask and find solutions to their questions.

By applying this constructivism learning theory, then we can reap several benefits including being able to train students to become independent individuals and be able to solve problems. Another benefit is that it can train students to work together and be directly involved in carrying out various activities. Another benefit is to create creativity in learning so as to create a more comfortable and creative classroom atmosphere.
