Before we were teachers, we were first students and we know perfectly how to define a good teacher because each one of us had different teachers that we classified as "good and bad" and I can really say it responsibly. In my era as a student there were teachers who They marked my life in a special way from which I learned wonderful things at a cognitive and spiritual level which I treasure today as one of the best values and that have helped me to instill them in my students, but well, we do not all say the same because we also find those we call "bad" but the good ones we remember forever.
It is important to highlight that of the teachers that we almost always remember in a special way, there are not many since they are the ones we classify as "bad" and we remember it only to experience the bad moments of students and this is a reality yesterday today therefore it is this what motivates me to talk about the ideal teacher that we all want to have if it exists
If any of us had to evaluate ourselves about our profile, I do not know what would happen because, sincerely, we would have a lot to reflect on, since as I have expressed, we were students before, today we are teachers and in relation to the memory we have of the characteristics that have passed through our academic lives. together with our role, we could perfectly understand how a good teacher should be, who is a good teacher and who should not dedicate himself to teaching because, instead of forming what he would do, it would be deforming
Although these words sound harsh it is a reality because behind each teacher there is a story based on characteristics that speak a lot about them.
In this order of ideas, below I express the characteristics that an ideal teacher must possess and that should serve as a reflection for all of us who are immersed in the field of teaching.
1.- Before everything he has ethics passion and love for everything he does
2.- Master your own content and knowledge in your teaching space
3.- He is an innovator and constantly looks for innovative strategies to implement them
3.- It not only takes into account the memorization of its students but
that reflects on the action and the everyday environment
4.- Take into consideration the emotions and affective needs that surround the environment of their students
5.- Accurately and democratically manage your environment in the classroom
6.- Develop significant learning in your students
7.- Propicia encourages and motivates the participation of its students using examples of interest
8.-Detect and solve problems taking into account the criteria of the students
9.- implement creativity in your students, solidarity and respect together with other series of values
From these characteristics, many of us evaluate ourselves and define sincerely what type of teacher we are.
In life we meet authoritarian social teachers and the one who leaves a mark would be very good if we could constantly reflect on ourselves by asking what kind of teacher am I?
The teaching class is visualized by the work that we leave in the classroom, obviously in our students, I think it is an honor for a teacher who has a vocation to infer in the behavior of his students where we learn something new from them daily and many times we do not accommodate them. to sadness because they make us smile with their attitudes and joy
I would also like to show for educational purposes the publication of the blog stellae where the different types of teachers that we have today are described
1.- Democratic
2.- Mediator
3.- Authoritarian
4.- Traditional
In Kerschensteiner's opinion there are 4 types of teachers
.1.- Indolent educator is the one who is about to stay and lets his students do what they want without limit
2.- Anguished educator is one who does not allow his students to develop their creativity
3.- Weighted educator applies freedom according to traditional pedagogical rules
4.- Born educator is a teacher with a pedagogical sense, has mystical will power, is very practical, clear and precise in his appreciations and is passionate about helping his students
As a reflection, there is a location for each teacher who today has the opportunity to read and place themselves according to the profile with which they identify themselves, hoping that we reflect on our current position and we can choose the best one in case our profile is very low and give the best of if our students.
It is very interesting to be that teacher who has errors but who is an innovator and a researcher, one who becomes more and more competent in his knowledge and in his pedagogical action, a teacher who catches up with new developments and always gives the best of if for your students to become critical investigative and motivated people where their social function is their comprehensive training
