Teaching with love πŸ’•

The little things we do that means a lot to others.Good day, beautiful educationist. I'm @tigrace, and this is my first time posting in the community. I hope I'm welcome.

Today I want to share with you something that happened some years ago; just remember it today, and I felt happy that I, in fact, influenced someone's life. So back then, sometimes around 2020, after my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), I got a teaching job in one of the private schools. Then I was teaching primary one; my pupils were just seven in number,

so that made me know all of their names and faces. I also know each child's performance. So there is this particular child that doesn't know how to read and write. I mean, this child didn't even understand whatever I was teaching then; his performance in the class was very poor.

At first I was angry at him, but I later understood that for me to help this child to know how to read and write ✍️, I have to first be his friend. We became friends with him during the break period.

I made sure we ate our food within the space of 10 minutes because the break period lasted for 30 minutes, so I made sure he ate on time, and then I took him some extra classes during the break period, and within one month my boy had picked up πŸ€—. I was so excited; that boy was doing very well before I left and relocated to my home town.

So last night his dad called me to appreciate me for helping his son. That the boy is doing very well now in his academics. And I'm so proud of myself for doing that. Indeed, the little things we do sometimes as nothing might mean a lot to someone; never stop doing good 😊. Thank you for dropping by my post. @tigrace.
