Hello dear friends!

In Venezuela this week children and young people resumed their school classes, we come from a long vacation so we must again focus on how we can help our children is their academic activities and thus achieve their goals. We are currently considering that classes should be face-to-face, following biosafety standards, and that the vaccination plan should be continued. However, the task of continuing to advise and support them at home continues.

It should be noted that learning is influenced by several factors, which can either positively or negatively help them in the development of their potential and skills and are related to academic performance. That is why in this post I want to show some tips that can be considered in this new school term and that are essential to reinforce from the core of the family, together with the school and thus obtain better results.

For many children the return to school or their school activities does not encourage them much, as they prefer to spend most of the time playing or watching TV, so we must encourage motivation and enthusiasm to return to their activities and highlight the positive aspects, such as learning new things, advancing in their studies, sharing with their teachers or classmates while maintaining biosecurity measures as much as possible.

Perhaps because of the holidays the children were going to bed later than usual, so we must set a new schedule for rest, which should be between 7-9 hours, and ensure that it is a period of restful rest without interruptions. Avoid watching television until late, avoid the consumption of sugary or stimulating drinks before bedtime, do not eat heavy or difficult to digest food for dinner, wear appropriate clothing to sleep so they can return to their daily routines.

We must guarantee a balanced diet, in the right amounts and at the right time, which together with a constant exercise routine can help a lot in mood, stress, anxiety, irritability, among others. They can be encouraged to develop a sport of their liking, where they feel good, enthusiastic, and that additionally can be shared with family or close friends, this will also help them to sleep better.

It is very important to maintain a positive attitude and willing to recognize their abilities, strengths and work to strengthen their weaknesses, this will help them to have more confidence in what they do and to perform their activities with more encouragement.

Well friends, I hope this year goes very well for your children and is full of many successes, thanks for reading!

Hello @cristina-zac!
Certainly there are children who do not rest and watch TV until late and their life rhythms are so accelerated that they do not get the rest they need, affecting their physical and mental health. Thank you for your comment!
