Motivation is always to keep going on the positive side. The power up day is based on UTC timezone... so it starts around 1PM in New Zealand timezone of the first day of the month.

The (STEEM)HIVE token opens the door to what I love the most about this 'type' of Blockchain, rewarding content creators with HIVE-Engine 2 layer tokens. I just need to NOT swap all my HIVE for SWAP.HIVE :-) yep I got this.
You can get tokens as well if you specific tags when posting, because who votes on your post if they have layer 2 staked tokens, they will reward your account from the rewards pool of that token (this is not very common, but there are a couple of tokens that have this enabled).
Which tags?
Post tags... before you submit a post for the first time.
For example, if you want to get MEME tokens (when people that have MEME staked vote for your post), you need to use at least the "memehive" tag on the post.
I've always wondered if it only counts with the tags in the tag input field or if it also counts if you have the tags written in the post
