True, but observing it as such wont gift you an advantage in struggles yet to come.
I think a core part of placing one's self in the centre of a healthy survival mindset is to draw back the widely cast net that's cast upon one's self by overusing such terms as "we" "both" "people" "upon them" "they" "These so-called leaders."
I (as in You) is here now. Talk to yourself first and foremost. Take your own advice first and see if it works in your mind. "we, people, them, they" and lastly "these so-called leaders" are not here now so that makes me wonder why that's not a problem to you.
I ask you this question: is it upon you to need to change enough inside, before asking "we the people" in the real world outside, to listen to you?
But who are "they?" if not your intended audience? Who are "we" for that matter?
How you engage with others in the real world outside makes you more a man than human collectives knew "they" could be capable of.
Who are "they?" in this instance. Well it's you and people like you. It's not those "so-called leaders." Those leaders are the "they" "we" must realize to fight against.
