When hope turned to despair

Centralized video conferencing apps and streaming services are more widely used than before around the world because of coronavirus lockdown. Decentralized apps or services are rich in users' privacy protections, but they do not attract much attention.

Zoomduring this global epidemic, became very popular all over the world for working from home. But in the meantime, about 500,000 zoom user accounts have been hacked for sale on the dark web. From forbes

And there are allegations that bigwig like Google and Apple is saving users data through Zoom for their lucrative Contact Tracing technology.

Many hoped that because of these privacy breaches, users will come from centralized apps to web3 decentralized apps, but that hope turned into despair. Nothing happened.

Conclusion

Although this fight for survival is very competitive. But according to these situations, it seems that Wab3 dapps is not ready yet. Otherwise, most Web3 dapps are still in very early stages or they have no sufficient marketing events for brand awareness.

However, we may have to wait a long time to see the triumph of Web3 technology.
