The world is awash with midwits - the dumbing down process has been so successful that even the 'borderline' who once were able to aspire to something more meaningful have become midwits, as you say, quite unwittingly.
It's a very sad state of affairs and doesn't bode well for the immediate future of humanity . . . and I don't think I'm exaggerating. 🙁
