Restraining order filed over different political views.... awesome

This isn't so much a story about bad reporting as it is about dumb people, and how toxic politics has made people in the United States.

A man in Sacramento, who is a Trump supporter has filed a restraining order against a neighbor who he claims has been harassing him and his children ever since Biden was declared the winner of the Presidential election of 2020.

He claims that he is shouted at and that chalk drawings of "BLM" and "LGBT" have been drawn on his portion of the sidewalk in front of his house.

Let's go ahead and forget the fact that almost all (it may even be ALL) of the states have not yet certified the election results and the ongoing investigations could very well change a lot of the results, but this sort of behavior by adults is the epitome of "dumb."

The fact that this man had to get the police involved after the Biden supporting neighbor encouraged his children to harass the Trump supporting neighbor's children when they are outside playing is just terrible terrible behavior. These kids would almost certainly not behave this way if their parents hadn't gotten them wrapped up in it. I do not know how old the kids are but if they are outside playing in the yard I commend them for putting down the tablets and game controllers to do what everyone did when I was a kid: Play outside and get some accidental exercise.

The Trump supporting man whose name is Michael Mason says that he approached the gloating neighbor to ask them to stop this and was simply laughed at and taunted even more by the couple who encouraged their children to taunt him as he walked away.

It would not surprise me if this is happening all over the country as people have become what i consider to be entirely too emotionally attached to this election result.

Once you have to get the police and the courts involved because you are incapable of acting like an adult I think it says a lot about the diminishing state of humanity as a whole.

There is a neighbor that lives between the two warring neighbors who didn't have much to say about the entire ordeal and he simply said "“It’s absolutely insane. 2020 has been kind of a crazy year, man"

So while I normally feel as though The Independent is an absolutely horrible source of news of any sort, I have to commend them for remaining a bit neutral on their reporting as far as this matter is concerned. It might be the only piece of non partisan news available on their website today.
