Conscious means I perceive the world, dream about the world, dream up a whole world, and can think about perceiving it, and ask the question why?
Why ask why? I say, why not?
It's more in terms of the non-intrinsic/social connection to the word, or it's implied definition beyond the obvious. Not meant to be digested directly or literally (by textbook definition) in this instance.
I just meant being conscious is not like being a rock.
Being aware and standing like a rock are two different things.
