Our munitions are more than capable enough of taking out just that institute with minimal collateral. Hell the missiles I worked on in the Air Force, the conventional version of the ALCM was upgraded to GPS in the 90s. They were the first thing launched in the first gulf war. We were told the original ALCM could hit a building, the next version the ACM could hit the room, and the CALCM could fly through the window. If the world really wanted the institute gone it would be quite easily.

Lol, very true. I like to think of being a bit more selective, save a bit of the collateral damage to the people living around it.
You are dealing with viruses. And you don't want the people.involved moving the equipment or the storage of these. Never know what can escape the lab if the population was warned.
But it's a human shield.
And again. Only way? Fire. Gotta burn it so hard that nothing escapes. Not the tiniest bit. Not a single virus. Thermobaric weapons would work well. But we will see the response by the world.
It would be so much easier if the world just issued China subpoenas and had all of the staff of the Wuhan infectious diseases institute show up for court and as well detainment while we sort this crime against humanity out.
This is justification for a world war.
