Definition of sedition
: incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority
— Merriam-Webster dictionary (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sedition)
Until January 20th Trump is the lawful authority. Technically, you say he was calling to rebellion against him. We could have sedition calls AFTER the January 20th. By Trump or anybody else.
So, I can agree with you @preparedwombat, only not at this date.
Congress makes laws.
Ask yourself: Would that argument stand in Court?
I’m not a lawyer and don’t play one on TV but 18 U.S.C. § 2384 would probably be more relevant than Merriam-Webster.
I agree. All of that is possible AFTER January 20th.
But listen, @preparedwombat, since you insist on Donald’s responsibility… I am no fan of Donald Trump by any means. You can see it in almost every link at the end of this text. I consider him a con in service of the Empire. And you have to see that he is not the topic of this text. The topic of this text is the installation of a cruel, single-party, techno-totalitarian regime without freedom of speech, with zero liberty for the population…
All of the ‘Trump bashing’ is actually diverting the attention from that fact.
But hey, if you want to live in such a state I really don’t have anything against it.
I am just giving my opinion on the future events, based on history and comparable examples. As such, you can take it or leave it, but the text will stay here so you can see in the years to come if it was any valid.
