I'm concerned this might be a permanent state of affairs.
Nobody repealed the "temporary" Patriot Act.
Nobody repealed the "temporary" Income Tax ("FREEDOM TAX").
Here's a list of "National Emergencies" that are currently still in effect.
Some as old as 1979 (from Carter).
There are 35 standing "National Emergencies" on the list.
6 from Clinton, 11 from Bush, 10 from Obama, and 7 from that new guy.
Nailed it.
Temporary measures have historically never been temporary.
Income Tax to pay for WWII.....
