Elecciones primarias 2021
This is an important year for all the inhabitants of my country #Venezuela since it is the year where the new mayors and governors are chosen throughout the national territory. There are really two fronts for this decision, the official political front, represented by the PSUV and all those who are supporting it today; on the other hand the different opposition parties decided to put aside their differences at a social and political level creating the democratic alliance. Although not all of them agreed, this was the best solution so that there would be more possibilities to face the national ruling party without splitting the votes among 3 or more opposition candidates that would only facilitate the way to reach the ruling party.
Este es un año importante para todos los habitantes de mi país #Venezuela ya que es el año donde se escogen a los nuevos alcaldes y gobernadores en todo el territorio nacional. Realmente son dos frentes para esta decisión, el frente político oficialista, representado por el PSUV y todos los que están apoyándolo hoy en día; por otro lado los diferentes partidos de oposición decidieron dejar de lado sus diferencias a nivel social y político creando la alianza democrática. Aunque no todos estuvieron de acuerdo esta fue la mejor solución para que existiera mayores posibilidades de enfrentar al oficialismo nacional sin fraccionar los votos entre 3 o mas candidatos de oposición que solo le facilitaban la forma de llegar al oficialismo.
Throughout the country, the leaders of the different parties sat down and decided who would be their representatives, in most of the states there was a consensus where all were benefited and it was not necessary to agree on the division of political command at the time of reaching the mayors and governorships, but in the state of Táchira this was not the case. Throughout the state it was necessary to go to a primary process which would mark who would be the representative at the end of the day. Due to this opportunity in many cities the different candidates opted for this opportunity, some with the intention of competing healthily with the other candidates for the possibility of getting the opportunity to represent the opposition; Others, with the intention of cementing the structure of their parties, knowing the high probability of losing but looking for the creation of a much more solid base that in a few years will be a reality in their respective cities and others, with their fist on their chest, chose to go to the primaries not to win or believing that they would achieve it, they sought to show the population that their party still existed and continued fighting for democracy, not looking to win, but to fight for their survival in the future in the regional and municipal political sphere.
En todo el país las dirigencias de los diferentes partidos se sentaban y decidían quienes serian sus representantes, en la mayoría de los estados se llevaron consensos donde todos se vieron beneficiados y no fue necesario mas que acordar la división de mando político en el momento de llegar a las alcaldías y gobernaciones, pero, en el estado Táchira este no fue el caso. En todo el estado se vio la necesidad de ir a un proceso primario el cual marcara quien seria el representante al final del día. Debido a esta oportunidad en muchas ciudades los distintos candidatos salieron optando para esta oportunidad, algunos con la intención de competir sanamente junto a los demás candidatos por la posibilidad de hacerse con la oportunidad de representar a la oposición; otros, se lanzaron al juego mas con la intención de cimentar estructura en sus partidos, a sabiendas de la alta probabilidad de perder pero buscando mas la creación de unas bases mucho mas solidas que dentro de unos años serán una realidad en sus respectivas ciudades y otros, con el puño en el pecho, optaron ir a las primarias no para ganar o creyendo que lo lograrían, buscaban demostrarle a la población que su partido aun existía y seguía luchando por la democracia, no buscaban ganar, sino luchar por su supervivencia a futuro en la esfera política regional y municipal.
There were three who stepped forward for the primary elections in the municipality of Junin, they were Valentin Duran for AD, Geraldine Camacho for MAS and Enrique Camero for COPEI, all three with political and social backgrounds that have allowed a development in their political structures and with the support of their respective supporters each one began their campaign to seek all possible support. During election day, I was in the situation room attending the calls from each and every one of our polling stations, keeping track of the numbers of people who arrived, either on their own or by the mobilization of any of the three candidates. The passing of the day gave us a lot of data to analyze, so that before the first polling station sent its results, we already had an outline of what the result could be. At six o'clock in the afternoon, the last polling stations were counting their votes, but we already knew that Valentin would be the winner and when the messengers arrived, we only confirmed what we had already estimated. Now it only remains for the representatives of the other parties to deliver their answers to the offers that were given to them, that although they lost, they will continue to be part of the municipal government because this city belongs to all of us.
Hubo tres que dieron el paso al frente para las elecciones primarias en el municipio Junin, fueron Valentín Duran por AD, Geraldine Camacho por el MAS y Enrique Camero por COPEI, los tres con antecedentes políticos y sociales que han permitido un desarrollo en sus estructuras políticas y con apoyo de sus respectivos simpatizantes cada uno comenzó su campaña para buscar todo el apoyo posible. Durante el día de elecciones, estuve en la sala situacional atendiendo las llamadas de todos y cada de nuestros centros electorales, llevando las cifras de las personas que llegaban, ya sea por su cuenta o por la movilización de alguno de los tres candidatos. El pasar del día nos arrojo muchos datos que analizar, por lo que antes de que el primer centro electoral enviara sus resultados, nosotros ya teníamos un esquema de cual podría ser el resultado. A las seis de la tarde, los últimos centros estaban contando sus votos, pero, ya sabíamos que Valentin seria el ganador y cuando llegaron los mensajeros, solo confirmamos lo que ya se tenia estimado. Ahora solo queda que los representantes de los demás partidos entreguen sus respuestas a los ofrecimientos que se les dio, que aunque perdieron seguirán siendo parte del gobierno municipal porque esta ciudad, es de todos. 1
