I don't know anything about numbers, what I know is hands on from a natal hospital where my aunt happens to be the main doctor. Children died because of the lacking staff that had caught Covid and some of the staff died as well, she was crying when she told the story.
She had caught it herself and still suffers from late symptoms such as hard breathing etc.
This virus originated in China, and was released either accidentally or intentionally into our world.
There is no hard evidence that it came from a lab. Animal virae mutate all the time and its likely that at some point they infect humans as well.
My aunt is not the only one working in a hospital. My friend who i a nurse told me they had to get extra cooling houses for the dead and could not treat severely injured people because all of their intensive care beds where occupied. If there would have been no lockdowns at all these numbers(we don't know numbers but if you have no more intensive care beds the numbers are too big)
Instead of locking everyone up and shutting the world down, they could have gone on a recruitment drive to get more doctors to assist in these corona hospitals.
Intensive care nurses are rare and doctors who have hands on experience in intensive care are even rarer. They where in the front lines and many of them died or where not able to work because they themselves got sick.
Believe me when I say sometimes we have to give up some freedom and of course it hurts but common sense if everyone would have worked together would have solved this matter much easier.
