Must be it totally escapes you that the whole of the conservative Christian base is a staunch base of Christian theology. Which is more like what Levin most likely belongs to and why he and others who practice that version of Christianity feel betrayed by Trump. Staunch is exactly that, and they mostly follow the King James version of biblical theology. Does it have influences of the Scofield bible, it may have as my foster parents were staunch conservative Christians and we, or I, we're led to believe that Israel was God's chosen people, but it obviously wouldn't be the first time biblical theology was formatted into different beliefs, hence the break off into the many dominations we have today. I remember the huge controversary that came about over what they termed The Living Bible. To very staunch Christians, it was a sin just to posses one. Staunch Christians, those who follow the bible to word, take it at it's word. You can't even talk to your neighbors on Sunday type deal. We could have dinner within the extended family on Sundays, but that was it. That's why Mark Levin is a bore. That, and the fact he is a constitutionalist, that is his specialty, as such, he's a thousand miles apart from podcast hosts, and that includes intellectually. In other words, he's a specialty breed, as such, he's only going to attract people who want to be intellectually stimulated, which are the vast majority that don't lead such stringent lives and intoned to that level of intellectual stimuli. He'd more than likely leave you or I snoozing in no time listening to him but it still is a niche market to fill regardless it's not attractive to the vast majority of people. When it comes to constitutional blather, it's important in the hierarchy of legal discussion, scholar opinions, and the formatting of the basis of which laws and judgements spring forth from. I don't know about you but I can barely make it through reading SC briefs, I can do it, but Levin could understand it a lot faster than I ever could, have a based opinion within an hour and I'd still be stifling through it for a week. For people like Levin, you'd really thought he'd caught on a lot faster after the prosperity teaching fraudster Paula White got anointed to the White House faith advisory role, but it's taken him a long time to finally figure out that Trump used deeply devout Christians in his play for the white house. You can no more naysay his opinion on the matter than that of millions of others who have awaken to the betrayal just because millions of people don't watch his show, upvote his opinions, give him likes, because the reality is, in the end, it won't matter what sect of religion or theology they come from, they will ban together to take him back out or any of his mini me's. If you want to know what they may look like, this so called banding, just watch what happened at his reception at the football game the other day. Here's another clue about staunch Christians, they don't rub elbows, they feed a whole lot of people, a whole lot, but they don't answer the phone and invite just anybody over to pick up some baby formula. They'll go where ever it takes to cook, donate, volunteer in the name of God, but they don't invite any possible cootie infected people into their inner circle, and they only go out in service, not to rub elbows. They also aren't stupid enough to believe that someone in dire need of baby formula would call a church instead of a food bank, simple logic deduction.
