i lived in moscow with my parents when i was a teen... it changed my life, i feel in love with the city, the architecture, the culture... I now live in the west and only am thinking about how i can get a good degree and move there

I always was curious about them, i started taking them when i was depressed and living alone at 19yo... they connected me back to the universe (nature, beauty, art, people), they helped me come out of my depression alongside a lot of philosophy.
Im 23 now and have this feeling, intuition, that for people with an open mind, they are the key to a lot of growth and realizations. They are extremely spiritual. To the point meditation experts and high dose psychedelic users report similar experiences and come to relatively similar conclusions about the nature of reality.
Hi, I don't think you need them to be connected to the universe, but if they helped you that is good. I have listened to a lot of people talk on this subject - and they say that mediation works just as well - and better over the long term. But then I have never done LSD myself - what you are in the world is mostly, as far as I can tell, designed by your environment - so if you wanted to be more connected, you need to be in a community that is connected - feeling depressed in the modern world is normal, because the modern world is artificial and runs against natural human design. Anyway, that is my two cents! Its great you feel better!

They always have. Was it Goebbels that said 'Of course the common man doesn't want war.' What they do is tell us we're in grave danger from a terrible enemy that will kill us all if we don't take up arms and go to war. When we're sufficiently terrified, we become enraged that our beloved sons and daughters are in danger and we'll go and do our best to slaughter whoever we're told to be afraid of. If we prevail, overlords will get to take the stuff of the people we slaughtered, and if we die our enemies' overlord will get to take all the stuff we left behind.

Wasn't the USG recently restrained by order of the court from telling the press to censor Americans? 'Limiting reach' is censorship. So, who enforces the order of the court? The DOJ? The Clerk of the Court? What good is the court if it's orders are of null effect, void by default?

Sadly, it does indeed work every time. The problem is, humanity has these large standing exploits and they have firewalled any systems that would close them i.e., such as a real education system that would product aware people - maybe chaos will change their planes though, I don't think they can plan for the kind of chaos that true open source AI will bring - when it works well that is, which might be some time away - I don't know. About the courts - its the same thing really - they have a ruling, but if there is no one to enforce the ruling then what does that mean? The real power comes everywhere from those that have the power to enforce. That is why the real power is, and has always been, with the banks.
