The trip hammer you opened with is one of the earliest tools that began the industrial revolution. The specific tool you posted is one of the most primitive I have seen, something you could make with a chipped rock and fallen logs. The basic design was fundamental to mechanizing forging in the early industrialization of the production of metal like iron and similar tooling materials.
The fall of the four horsemen is overdue IMHO. The acerbic wit of Richard Dawkins is belied by his incomprehension of how AI actually works, and he clearly projects his thought processes into the source of the text he interacts with. AI does not work like our consciousness does, but plagiarizes vast volumes of human thought to string together it's output by weighting text via complex algorithms. It does not understand what the text means at all. It finds that '2+2' is almost always followed by '=4', so it's algorithm supplies that statement in response to prompts. It does not know what it means. It does not understand the quantity of two, nor of addition - unless it has subroutines that enable it to do math. Peterson's bloodthirst is blatantly Zionist, mere pandering, as thoughtless of human rights as AI is. He just grovels to his paymasters. Altman is without substance similarly. IIRC the fourth is Molyneux, whom at least has a foundation of principles, but his inability to connect them coherently (perhaps because he strives to produce advice people will accept) leaves his foundation riddled with holes and instability.
I can understand the craving for snacks, but, frankly, am aghast at the pringles sammiches. I guess an occasional lapse in your nutritional quality can't be helped, as we have to enjoy our lives, after all. I was exposed to potato chips on tuna sandwiches in Texas, but generally resist such glop mostly through frugality. I almost exclusively eat boiled veg and hunks of meat (although I am prone to using prepared meats, like sausage, which isn't high quality food due to the crappy ingredients used). Generally my fare is buttered veg and meat, salt, turmeric, and black pepper, slathered in sour cream. This is pretty nutritious and lacks ultraprocessed additives like maltodextrin, sodium glutamate, and etc. that most prepared foods include. US Right To Know recently published a report showing that reducing store bought personal care products has an almost immediate beneficial impact on health, and I make my own toothpaste and deodorant from baking soda, coconut oil, and essential oils for flavor or scent (with a bit of corn starch to keep the coconut oil solid at room temperature), and this eliminates things like guar gum, aluminum, and etc from being absorbed by my tender tissues. Chicks say I 'smell like a man' and bury their noses in my pits, so that's good enough for the girls I go with, and better than being poisoned daily, anyway.
I reckon the avarice of Big Tech is behind the majority of demonetization. The money Goolag and Meta aren't paying to their creators is money they keep, and the specific censory is mostly an excuse to take their money, IMHO. These people aren't principled. They're greedy. I'm over being tracked and surveilled by my phones, have just dropped one, don't use wifi, and want to know how to degoogle my everything because I think Goolag is an appropriate name for what that company intends for us. If biometric ID becomes unavoidable for using a phone, I'll quit using a phone altogether and buy meshtastic radios for local folks I need to stay in touch with. If the internet becomes KYC Imma ditch it too. The imposition of AI social media tyranny is not tolerable to me, and I'm just not going to do it.
I hope you're getting to enjoy Fall, opposite to the bursting of blossoms and babies out of the woodwork here Spring brings, but with it's own charm.
Thanks!
LOL yeah that Pringles thing, I found out later, because I felt like I had sores in my mouth, which I never get. Apart from when I quit smoking and chewed artificial sweetener nicotine gum for a while, it used to give me sores in my mouth when I chewed too much, but the Pringles did the same thing. I don't know why, but I traced it back to the Pringles sandwiches, so I guess I won't be having them again. Not that they were worth it, given the small amount you get. About your diet, boiled veg and meat, that is the diet I hear has the best longevity for people as you get everything you need. That sour cream is great. I'm guessing you make your own, which is not hard. But sour cream on anything is a win LOL. I know you said before you had cut out sugar as well, or you said a while back, this I am in the process of doing myself. I started drinking tea, and I like some sugar in it. The problem is, I find that I want more when I have it, because my primal brain thinks I found a beehive or something.
About your coconut / baking soda, and reducing personal care products - it is my belief that when you wash your body with soap you erase the bacteria that protects it. Or good bacteria. I think that is why people get so many infections, to be honest -- I too, use a configuration of what you use, minus coconut - but baking soda tootpaste paste etc.,. Take away the good bateria (protective microbiome) - you probably of course are on the same page I would guess and know all this - but I always seen people that live in a soap environment / bleach always cleaning, and they are always sick and ill - I have not had a cold since like 2007 or thereabouts - also I know people my age / older have like brown teeth and they brush all the time, I think they are brushing off the enamel on their teeth with the toopaste they use - i use baking soda, light brush, and I don't have any problems my teeth are still great and I have no problems, they are healthy etc., . These are just my opinions of course, but you sound like you have a good non-invasive routine there. Baking soda does wonders and is great as a cleaning agent without being harsh with almost everything, as i know you know.
About de-googling. I would do that if I did not have a YouTube account to upload to. I hate that company. I can't say I spent any time on a phone though, so there is that. I would have used GrapheneOS for my old phone (before I got the new retro one), but the problem has always been I run massively outdated equipment held together with string, so it's not supported. It's been this way with everything in my life.
Thanks!
I am quite in tune with the song you're singing. I learned thought that the tools I use professionally need to be professional quality, so I don't cheap out on my tools. This box is 6 years old now, but I bought the parts new in 2020 and, while they weren't all top of the line, they were highly regarded. I did splurge on the PSU, because I expected to upgrade and PSU's can be moved into the new box. I didn't expect AI to gobble up all the RAM and GPUs, so haven't upgraded in a timely way because those parts just got outrageously expensive.
