Thank you for adding layers of detail to my understanding of the 2001 Anthrax terrorist attacks, which I knew were derived from US bioweapons research, and was unaware could not have been sourced by Dr. Ivins.
Perhaps I can return the favor by pointing out that USAMRIID and Ft. Detrick were closed by the CDC in June 2019 after an unspecified leak of some biological agent. Given that laboratory's work on Coronaviruses, and the present pandemic, I am deeply alarmed at the prospect that leak may have been of the current pandemic pathogen, particularly given the provable involvement of the US covert bioterrorism programs in the Anthrax murders and terrorist attacks.
I believe the lab is again in operation.

Yes!, I've read about the 2019 closure in passing but not in great detail. It's very suspicious and as I understand there are connections between the Wuhan bsl4 and Fort Detrick... crazy.
@tlavagabond has some great coverage of Fort Detrick and there's some evidence that people who live close to the USAMRIID, in the surrounding area, are coming down with mysterious illnesss. Disturbing, yes.
This was a difficult piece for me to write, to make it as cohesive as possible, but the reason I wanted to do it was to show all of the strangeness surrounding the case, now largely forgotten. Also, just trying to point out, in a longwinded post, how fear pushes us towards these solutions - like the Patriot Act.
