I have been following the CBC story on the Winnipeg Lab and the banning of the Chinese team, however not in this much detail. I think the Canadian government should be more forthcoming on the nature of the breach or in their words the "administrative matter" at the lab and why Qiu and her team were stripped of their access to the lab.
The CBC has tried to quash discussion about "conspiracy theories" surrounding this story and has run several pieces in an attempt to 'debunk' the idea:

The connections between the scientific teams, the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg and Wuhan looks to be quite solid. I hope we can discover more about the "policy breach" or that more information about the incident is made public by the RCMP investigation.

I am continuing to research Dr. Qiu and will be posting another research paper focusing on Dr. Qiu. I also want to be clear that I don't believe that Xiangguo Qiu did anything immoral by sharing research with China, unethical sure. This was for the purpose of research rather than the production of China's biological weapons program. I have already found that Dr. Qiu helped develop ZMapp a drug used to treat Ebola, an exact copy of that drug also appeared in the Chinese state run Mabworks Laboratories which raised questions, but more research is needed. I plan to publish the next research paper in a few days :)
