RE: Vitamin D Link to COVID-19 Severity Correlated in Studies

in Deep Dives4 years ago

They new in the first days of the pandemic that people with Vitamin D deficiency fare worse than the public at large.

I am upset that health officials did not make this information known. I actually looked up the information about vitamin D and COVID in either Feb or March and the information was there for all to see.

Vitamin D in conjunction with other vitamins and minerals regulate the immune system. It regulates clotting and calcium absorption.

However, the doctors are partially right about vitamin D being a poor treatment.

Vitamin D prevents disease. It is not a treatment.

If you attempt to treat a patient with megadoses of vitamin D; then you will have completely unpredictable results.

The real deal is as follows: people who have a strong immune system (with sufficient vitamin D, K, A and minerals) can beat back COVID19 with little problem.

People with vitamin D deficiencies fare poorly. So the key to defeating the disease is to get a balanced diet before getting sick.

PS: Vitamin D is created when direct sunlight hits the skin. So get sun whenever you can. Noon is the best time. 10 minutes will.

Vitamin is processed in the kidneys. If you have kidney disease, you need to get supplements under doctor supervision.
