Of course they don't believe lockdowns can stop the virus, and neither can a vaccine. What I would like to know is why you think that anyone would believe that. On either side of the debate. I don't like mixing Dutch and English, but if by MKBA you mean "maatschappelijke kosten-baten analyse," you may have a point. Personally I'm of two minds when it comes to the lockdowns specifically, mainly because of the enormous psychological damage resulting from them. And look, I'm all for not trusting the government, any government, because they've proven to be untrustworthy. Or, let me rephrase that: they can be trusted to act in the interest of large economical players, which is almost always to "our" detriment. That doesn't mean that everything they say is nonsense though and it also doesn't mean that we start believing everything random YouTubers or bloggers throw up on the internet.
Oh, before I forget; some of them really do think covid isn't real, or a Chinese hoax, or the same as the flew. I can't believe you've missed all that.
Okay must admit there are a few that dont believe in viruses as we are told but that is a small minority. I mean some vaxers want me to be in jail cause im unvaxed but i dont think every vaxer would think that?
In other words. Lets not take the extremes as the norm.

The media (news media) is really one of the worse medias to be buried into politics like is seen in the Western world, and developing countries are now borrowing the leaf.
The news media should be there to announce significant changes in local and international events, and not take sides in sensitive matters like politics and climate change. However, I strongly believe its an attempt to make money, getting people emotionally involved is more profitable than just doing traditional journalism.

100% that! I'll go one step further and say that this problem can not be solved in a world where the number one priority of the socioeconomic system is making profits. Even in alternative online media "clickbait" has quickly become a mainstay because it's more profitable to incite anger, fear and hatred than have an honest discussion about anything.

They (mkba) say lockdown is the silent killer. 100.000 lifeyears(qualies) would be saved in a lockdown... But 600.000 lifeyears will cost it.
Not to mention that the government tried really hard to not get this info to the public.
