I don't agree with this statement though
...thereby erasing from public memory the outrageous feat of the day before...
The thing is, people don't forget all those other things to the point where its now impossible to believe anything the man says at all (unless you're lying to yourself, uneducated, and/or delusional). To add to that, the man has basically destroyed the country's reputation in the eyes of the rest of the world. To any non-American, the country is basically a joke run by a baffoon. A country that was maybe not always liked but was always respected, is now a laughing stock that has literally been shunned and isolated by the rest of the world. The world has closed it's borders to America, presumably out of fear that a cumbling empire will, in a last ditch effort to save itself, try and drag the rest of us down with it. Even Canada, which is a predominantly passive nation and has always been a sort of little brother to America is like, "Fuck that shit. We're out."
The man did serious damage by destroying the country's reputation and who knows how long it will take to rebuild that? As you pointed out, it will almost certainly take more than another presidential cycle.
Those are just my thoughts. Great article. Really got me thinking :)

Yup... he also trained his whitehouse marionette to getting the focus of attention witht "fly on the head" incident. Although that was more a coincident. Or was it.... 🤣
