I've loved seeing this happen but one bad side-effect is that there are voices in the media that are already trying to go after reddit and calling for "banning of this, banning of that" and are calling it market manipulation etc.... even though, as you explain in the body of your article, the people that the autistics were going after, have been doing precisely that for as long as stonk markets have existed.
Unfortunately that's the kind of response we should all have anticipated... The transfer of wealth from poor to rich is business as usual, now that we see it happen in the reverse direction, for once, these rich crybabies yell murder... I didn't expand on this point nearly enough in my post, so thanks so much @beelzebubba for adding this!
