If the cost of living is low and you can find a good niche then yeah you can make a living. It's true that you need to create a lot of content and keep it up to date, but you are doing that here anyway. Also Google has really messed around a lot of publishers over the last year so it is not as easy as it once was to get organic SEO traffic but there are other avenues.
