from Ecency to NightCafé and back

There is this site called NightCafé.* It's actually an AI generator for images and videos. And a rabbit hole I've fallen into thanks to @thermoplastic and his article AI Creations and copyright. OK, not his fault, my decision.

After fooling around, playing with prompts, trying to figure out how to best use it to get somewhat decent results, I decided to turn the table.

Instead of dreaming up creative prompts with all the superlatives and buzzwords in them, I simply took text from one of my @ecency posts (this one) and used its first paragraph as a direct prompt. No editing, no alterations.

This is the "prompt":

After weeks of draught we had rain again. Quite heavy during the night and in the morning. The day was dry and when I went for a run in the evening it started to rain again. Nothing special, just a drizzle. It is still very hot and humid so rain wasn't really a refreshment. No time for more than a short run in under six pace. Satisfied.

And this is the result:

What do you think?

The settings were default with HiDream 11 Dev as a model and 16:9 aspect ratio, nothing else.

The image above is actually second iteration, "creative" upscaled image with the following creativity settings:

The upscaled output is bigger i.e.. more detailed, with creativity factor at 100%, whatever that means. The cost is 3 credits, cheap. I didn't change the prompt.

And this is the starting image, generated for free:

Quite a difference in upscale, isn't it?

I will use the site daily for the fun of it. Additional challenge is to keep using it for free for as long as it gets, without buying any credits, the internal currency. So far I accumulated almost 300 credits doing various tasks, like these:

I will also continue cross-referencing both Hive/Ecency and NightCafé*. That means I need to start publishing halfway meaningful articles here, not just auto-published @exhaust reports.

better and better

Interesting - and I seen it already, since you tagged me.
There is so much more to discover. Myself, I had also used lines from poetry as prompts (Dada poetry mostly), but as a surrealist, I love 'confusing' AI with nonsense prompts, getting it to 'halucinate' on purpose. https://www.ibm.com/think/topics/ai-hallucinations
A additional way to nonsense prompts is to use a result from a unrelated creation as the input image, or 'evolving' a creation but changing out the prompt. The later is actually preferrable (if it was a text only creation) if you want to use it in a challenge, since creations done with an input image are not accepted in challenges.
And at times I use prompts from people that keep them open (as I do also). There are a few guys I exchange with that way, one of whom is a personal friend. We call it prompt-pong, where we take each others prompts and add our own words to it, changing sentences etc.

btw: I got a ton of points amassed, over 1k right now, and some came lately from referring you. Also through publishing streaks, besides your daily bonus points. I will, once I find the time, use them to upscale and animations. The 10 second animations are great. Stringing them all together in a free video program on Microsoft Clipchamp.

Thanks for the tips.

Yes, creative upscale is very useful. While prompt to edit is useless.

I used the picture from this post as a starting point and result was decent:

more than just decent - in spite of my handicap (I get out of breath even riding an escalator), I would be tempted to chase after her. I imagine you jacked up the noise to the max.

!LOLZ

1.5 was enough. But I needed to cut the image from 16:9 to 5:4 because upscale kept adding another small female figure to the background.

I noticed that this happens often, upscale adds some tiny unneeded annoying detail. Bloopers challenge material !LOLZ
