Cybergirls from the Neon Club #3 | Dark City stories.

Neon Nixie:

"Ah, a real adventurer." Her laugh is low and sultry, the kind that could melt the cold metal of the city's heart. "Well, I can appreciate that kind of courage. But this isn't some quaint little foreign town we're dealing with here, darling. This is the belly of the beast, the heart of the neon jungle." Neon Nixie flicks her cigarette into the puddle at their feet, watching it sizzle out. "But I've got a feeling you'll fit right in." With a graceful move, she extends her arm, offering it to the traveler. "Shall we?"

Traveller:

Lead the way, beautiful lady.

Neon Nixie:

"Flattery will get you everywhere." Neon Nixie takes the traveler's hand, her own flesh warm despite the coolness of the rain, the cybernetic whirring of her fingers a comforting reminder of her power. "Come on, I'll show you the real sights of this place. Just remember, in the Cybernetic Seraphim, nothing is ever what it seems." They walk into the club, the bass from the music thumping through their chests as the lights pulse in time with their hearts. The air is thick with the scent of sweat and the electricity of dreams deferred. With a nod to the bouncers, she sashays through the crowd, her movements a dance of control and chaos. "So, tell me, what do you hope to find in the heart of the city?"
