I feel like it’s alright not to want to make a feud about a mare but if it’s not his and it’s not yours but it’s mostly on your property the it might as well just be your property

Yeah that is what I thought too. We let her roam a bit off the property so that she could socialize with the horses that live next door because I worried she would be depressed without contact with other horses. But, that ended up being our downfall because he took her while she was mingling with the neighbor horses. The bright side is that she will be well taken care of by some one with more experience caring for horses, but I will miss her!!
