Every day I look with concern at the irrational and indiscriminate way in which natural resources are abused. In my determination to continue enjoying the healthy environment that surrounds me, I can notice the volatility of the changes in some areas, specifically at the top of some Venezuelan mountains.
In these days I wanted to return to a trail that I had forgotten about because of the amount of overgrown brush on the hill. When I saw it cleared I got excited and decided with a companion to go to that place. Unfortunately, the decision was not as wise as we expected, now the space is closed with fences, a part of the land was stripped of trees and plants and in its place are some houses built with wattle and daub. Obviously, the passage is restricted, it is no longer a border of the park where you can walk freely, now it has owners.
I will not deny my friend's annoyance, nor mine either. Particularly, I felt indignation because it seems to me that these are not spaces to be invaded, much less to increase the number of houses or families. Perhaps, there are benefits, although I doubt it. At this moment I am not prepared to analyze the situation but to illustrate the content.
Cada día miro con preocupación la manera irracional e indiscrimida de cómo se abusa de los recursos naturales. En mi empeño por desear seguir disfrutando del ambiente sano que me rodea, puedo notar la volatidad de los cambios en algunas zonas, específicas en lo alto de alguna montañas venezolana.
En estos días quise retomar un sendero del cual me había olvidado por la cantidad de monte crecido en el cerro. Al verlo despejado me emocioné y decidí junto a una compañera ir hasta ese lugar. Lamentablemente, la decisión no fue tan acertada como esperábamos, ahora el espacio está cerrado con cercas, una parte del terreno fue despojado de árboles y plantas y en su lugar se encuentran unas viviendas construidas con bahareque. Obviamente, el paso está restringido, ya no es un lindero del parque donde se puede caminar libremente, ahora tiene dueños.
No voy a negar la molestia de mi amiga ni la mía tampoco. Particularmente, sentí indignación porque me parece que no son espacios para ser invadidos, ni mucho menos para incrementar el número de viviendas ni familias. Quizá, hayan beneficios, aunque lo dudo. En este momento no me dispongo para hacer un análisis de la situación sino ilustrar el contenido.
In the midst of the situation I stopped to reflect Can it be that we are really overpopulated and this is the reason why so many spaces are invaded?.
In the publications of my friends @irvinc and @slwzl interesting statistics are mentioned. All three of us are Venezuelan and both describe briefly and concisely Venezuela's population situation.
An important fact mentioned by @irvinc is when he talks about the place where he lives; a quiet area, away from so many people, where you can walk peacefully, among others. From here I also agree with his idea, could it be that we are poorly distributed? The idea of seeing so many people in one place makes us think of overpopulation, but possibly that theory is not true.
En medio de la situación me detuve a reflexionar ¿Será que estamos realmente superpoblado y es está la razón por la cual se invaden tantos espacios?
En las publicaciones de mis amigos @irvinc y @slwzl se mencionan datos estadísticos interesantes para valorar. Los tres somos venezolanos y ambos describen de manera breve y concisa la situación de Venezuela en materia de población.
Un dato importante mencionado por @irvinc es cuando habla del lugar donde recide; una zona tranquila, alejada de tanta gente, donde se puede transitar tranquilente, entre otras. Desde aquí concuerdo también con su idea, ¿Será más bien que estamos mal distribuidos? La idea de ver tanta gente en un solo lugar nos hace pensar en la sobrepoblación pero, posiblemente no sea real esa teoría.
Now, after looking at all this, what I definitely believe is that by having more concentration of people in a single space, we saturate the areas and alter the environment, increasing the pollution problem. In this case, if I can think and also affirm that there are overpopulated areas and that the governmental entities have the duty and obligation to regulate and control this situation.
From my point of view the mountainous zones, natural parks, historical patrimonies, should not be mistreated but keep their essence in contribution with the planet. I live in the capital of Venezuela, in this sense, I can attest to the immense disaster we have in terms of population and environmental pollution, we are definitely overpopulated, there is nowhere to put a needle more and in the search for a solution to the problem, the easiest way is to destroy the environment.
My contribution revolves around education. Education continues to play a fundamental role in society. Even the politicians themselves should be re-educated in this matter since many continue to ignore the problem of the planet. Aberrant capitalism deprives over real and true ecological socialism without any compassion.
Ahora bien, luego de mirar todo esto lo que definitivamente si creo es que al tener más concentración de personas en un solo espacio, saturamos las zonas y alteramos el medio ambiente aumentando el problema de contaminación. En este caso, si puedo pensar y además afirmar que hay zonas superpobladas y que los entes gubernamentales tienen el deber y la obligación de regular y controlar esta situación.
Desde mi punto de vista las zonas montañosas, parques naturales, patrimonios históricos, no deberías ser maltratadas sino mantener su esencia en contribución con el planeta. Vivo en la capital de Venezuela, en este sentido, puedo dar fe del inmenso desastre que tenemos a nivel poblacional y de contaminación ambiental, definitivamente estamos superpoblados, ya no hay donde meter una aguja más y en la búsqueda de solucionar el problema, la manera más fácil es destruyendo el medio ambiente.
Mi aporte gira en función de educar. La educación sigue teniendo un papel fundamental dentro de la sociedad. Hasta los mismos políticos deber ser reeducados en esta materia ya que muchos siguen haciendo caso omiso al problema del planeta. El capitalismo aberranta priva sobre el real y verdadero socialismo ecológico sin compasión alguna.

I agree with what you have said, most people are not educated on the effect which over population can cause and when they get the idea, they will know more on overpopulation and what is needed to be done
By the time we realize this, it may be too late. We see how the climate effect is getting stronger and stronger. Natural phenomena are increasing and if we are not in safe places, the tragedy can be frightening. Thank you for your comment

Tenemos la mayoría una cultura atada a las zonas donde vivimos, acabo de reflexionar con tu publicación lo interesante que sería distribuirnos de forma equilibrada, pero esas ideas y la libertad nunca van de la mano, igual es una buena teoría.

Definitivamente las causas de la sobrepoblación son diversas pero la falta de planificación urbana y el desconocimiento sobre las consecuencia de este tema es el punto neuralgico que hay que atacar con educación, divulgación y concientización de la población.
