The irony is that as man progressed and climbed the ladder of development, he moved away from nature. Today there is a need to establish harmony with nature.
The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the global need for ecosystem restoration. Experiences during the lockdown have ensured that the main causes of urban air pollution are over-exploitation of resources by humans, such as vehicular carbon emissions and industrial activities. The air quality of cities around the world has improved significantly as human activities remain largely limited in lockdown. The Substantial decline in water pollution and noise pollution has also been observed. This situation is an example before us that if we are limited to the judicious use of resources, then it is possible for us to aim for the restoration of the ecosystem.
it has given the slogan of Re-imagine, Re-create and Re-store for all oceans and continents and the current decade as the Decade of 'Ecosystem Re-storation'. will also be announced in In such a situation, it is the great responsibility of all the educational institutions of the country to spread awareness about the issues related to environment and sustainable living. To maintain the existence of all living beings: To provide a prosperous and happy life to future generations, protection of the environment is very important to avoid natural calamities and diseases and to bring the true and far-reaching benefits of development to the people.
The time has come to take a pledge to protect the environment. We will have to take the same determination again as our forefathers once took. Such resolution will pave the way for our healthy life and our coming generation will be able to live in peace. We have to always remember that our environment will be safe, only then our existence will also be safe. Environmental protection and promotion is not the responsibility of any one person or organization, but every section of the society has to understand the moral responsibility of providing clean environment to their coming generation, taking lessons from the ill effects on the environment. Environmental education should not be confined to schools, colleges and universities only, but it needs to be transformed into a mass awareness campaign.
