It can be when doing it properly. You know it should only be turned 2-3 times? If done the way soil food web school says to then only 2x. Are you using a compost thermometer?

Only odd if it does not smell like a old growth forest floor.
I am not using a thermometer. And yeah it does smell like forest floor. Reminds me of walking in the woods behind my grandpas house in Kentucky.
