This morning i woke up really early.. i checked my phone it was 3:33am. I went back to sleep.
I woke up again and it was still early. I checked my phone again and it was 4:44am!..I went back to sleep.
I woke up, still not sleeping deeply, and checked my phone.. it was,.,. oh yes, 5:55am! wOw!!!..
I got up and was half expecting something very amazing to happen all day. Will i meet my true love?, Will Tesla donate me a cyber truck?.. but in the end it was just an ordinary day on the 3D! Well i did get the floor of my yurt half done so that was amazing.. its been two months of hard graft! in this crazy heat.. wow.. from tyres to wood.. i wasn't sure if i still had it in me.. im happy to say i STILL GOT IT! p;- ❤
Here are some photos of the last i THINK around 2 months of work. It all started with me pounding 35 old tyres with dirt, and now i am finally making the floor. . just a few steps away from being able to set the yurt up!

Nice work. That really is beautiful land. It looks a bit dry and hot (as you've said). Is this the dry season with a rainy season to follow or is it dry most of the time?
On another note, after seeing that last picture, I have to ask... Do you know about EMFs (electromagnetic fields) and the constant radiation that most people subject themselves to via their devices? Bluetooth, Wifi and Cell/Mobile are certainly convenient and very useful but these wireless technologies are continually irradiating their users. It's definitely worth a look and simply putting your device in airplane mode with Wifi off, when not in use, and using a wired headset will eliminate it.

right now it is dry as a bone.. fire risks are HUGE here.. but it will get wet again after August.. it gets very wet in winter so its not all year round.,.
thanks for the tips on EM.. i have looked into them a LOT over the years.. i found staying grounded is the best way.. in my earthship is was easy.. just touch the floor! in this yurt it will mean going outside i suppose.. but luckily im VERY rural so its no t so bad.. i almost never hold my phone to my ear etc.. and yes i do airplaine mode it at night..

At least you were sleeping for longer stretches each time, at that rate you'll be back up to 8 hours a night straight through by the end of the year.
I think that's about as solid a 'temporary structure' base as you can get!

It is looking amazing @eco-alex. I follow a eco home-steading couple on youtube who just put up a yurt and are building a garden in a wonderful wild piece of forest in Nova Scotia .... such amazing hard work but the results are so worth the work. I love yurts! I cant wait to see yours go up! The floor looks awesomely sturdy! So exciting!!
